Ana Afonso

Ana was born in Lisbon in 1977. She is a visual storyteller.

She studied a five Fine Art degree followed by a three year Masters in Drawing and is currently completing a PhD on ‘authorstrators and picture books’.

Ana loves to be outside in nature which reflects in her use of colour and ambience, especially when painting animals.

She loves to introduce interesting perspective with fine detail to convey the emotion of her subject matter, with a mix of her realistic style tinged with cute.
